Lately, my faucet in my bathroom broke and I’ve been looking for a new faucet to replace it. I Google-searched “Bathroom Faucets” and wouldn’t you know it, I got an overload of results and products. To be honest, it was quite dizzying, so I had no idea how I was even going to start my search when there was a multitude of different faucets.
So, I started by narrowing down my search to the brand. There was Moen, Kohler, American Standard, Peerless Faucets. . . more brands than I could have imagined. Although I was originally attracted by the looks of the Moen, Kohler, and American Standard brands, a lot of the faucets I liked by them were simply out of my budget, leaving only mediocre ones (in my eyes) that I could afford but wouldn’t really enjoy having.
Feeling distressed and wary, I took a look at some of the Peerless Faucets found on this site. Amazingly, I began to smile—the designs were lovely, but that wasn’t what caught my eye. What captured my attention was that some of them were actually in my budget!
I’m not the kind of person who gets excited over plumbing. I don’t even know what kind of toilet I have, so I don’t know much of anything when it comes to plumbing. All I know is aesthetics, price, and quality. That’s all that matters to me. I don’t want to sound cheesy, but I actually began to tear up a little when I ran into that site.
I found a faucet that I really liked, so I decided I better do some research about it. What features it had, and whether other people who had bought it were satisfied with the performance or had “buyer’s remorse.” For reference, I’ve included a picture and the site of the faucet I found online:
https://www.plumbersstock.com/product/122440/peerless-p299196lf-ob-two-handle-lavatory-faucet/
Here is the information I found in regards to this company, Peerless Faucet, and more importantly, this faucet:
- All Peerless Faucets are backed by the Delta Faucet Company, the biggest U.S. manufacture of commercial and residential faucets. This means that all Peerless Faucets come with a lifetime faucet and finish guarantee.
- The faucet is WaterSense certified, meaning that it wastes less water and is better for the earth than your average faucet.
- The faucet has a flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute, versus an average faucet whose flow rate is 2.2 gallons per minute.
- Complies with the ADA (American Disability Association).
To me, the most important thing by far was the WaterSense certification and the design. I guess I’m a sucker for “Oil Rubbed Bronze,” as the finish is called.
When I checked for reviews online, I didn't find any negative ones. I mean, sure, there are always those people who don’t research before they buy, and they were somewhat nasty, but for the most part, everything I heard was music to my ears, from the fantastic customer service to the easy installation to the wonderful performance. I figured I’d heard enough, so I went ahead and ordered a faucet.
I hope that everything is as amazing as people make it sound, but I guess I’ll find out for myself soon enough!
